on the schedule today was a 20 minute run, then a walk later – however… today a friend of mine was running his first ever marathon. not at an official event, no raceday atmosphere or crowd to help him get through it, just a solo 42.2km attempt, raising money for 2 great causes.

so along with a few other friends, I ran the last 5km with Tom, with a bit of a slow warm-up run/walk beforehand.

he got it done, which was awesome. in under 4 and a half hours, which is even more awesome!

10:00 – banana, granola, yoghurt, honey and strawberry, long machiatto topped up (2 sugars)

5km – final 5km of Tom’s solo marathon
